Description
A: round bronze medal hanging from rainbow striped piece of grosgrain ribbon. Ribbon has metal pin backing at top. Bronze medal has image of male warrier in Greco-Roman garb holding a sword and shield. Man has wings on back. Back of medal has a shield and ax in center. Arching across top of medal "The Great War for Civilization" Listed underneath and on both sides of shield are countries who fought on side of United States during WWI. "France, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Montenegro, Russia, Greece" on left side. "Great Britian, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Romania, China" on right. B: Pin bar, metal clasp on back, covered in rainbow striped grosgrain ribbon. C: Cardboard box. Printed in center on front "One/Victory Medal/Complete without Clasp" Printed on bottom left hand corner "The Art Metal Works Inc/Newark, NJ" and in bottom right hand corner "Contract NO. 9089N/Date: March 27, 1920"
