Description
Wallet,polychrome wool crewels in red, yellow, blues, green and browns on a dark blue ground, image of a bird and a floral vine, embriodered on a linen support. Pink calamanco lining with silk edging. Initials "I B" in red on front flap. Made for Jonathan Buell (1717-1796) of Litchfield possibly by his wife Lydia Landon Buell of Southhampton, New York (d. 1812).
