Description
Beaded bag with silver beaded looped fringe on bottom. Top band, 3/4" stylized flower design. Central band, 3 1/8", scene of houses, trees, horse. Bottom band, 1 3/4" w., small houses with red/rust background.
Comment
Mabel Strong attended the Litchfield Female Academy in 1797. She sent all nine of her children to the school. She made this bag and 1949-17-2 (beaded bag) in the 1830s.
