Wood plug nailed into large end. Small end cut into flare to keep string or thong around the horn from sliding off. Initials "JDL" inked on it, horn slightly chipped at this end.

Belonged to Julius Deming--may have been carried by him. Came to MPQ through Hon. F. Deming Perkins, godson of Julius Deming.
