Description
White cotton lace, knitted bedspread. Forty-two squares of repeated pattern, stockinette stitches. Scalloped edges on three sides.
Provenance
Knitted by Julie Felder Snowman, a Litchfield resident. Donated by her husband, who remembered the inspiration for the piece being a lacework bedspread at the Brooklyn Museum, possibly one done by Abigail Adams. The piece was judged in and won multiple state and national competitions (see 2017-37-2-10).
