Description
Homespun white linen tablecloth. Plain check weave in fabric. Seam down center. Hemmed on all four sides.
Comment
Note attached to tablecloth written by donor's mother "Window Post went from Hebaon to Simsbury and married Silas Hays. Her daughter, Lucretia Post married Joseph Cook, her daughter Lucretia Cook married George Jones. This blanket was woven and given to Widow Post by Mr. Hays, brother of her second husband, who was afterwards stolen by Indians and carried to Canada, and redeemed himself by weaving blankets."
