Chromolithograph bust portrait of George Washington facing right, white hair, blue and buff coat, etc. Marked on bottom: "Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1858 by J.P. McKean in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the District of Columbia. From the original in possession of J.P. McKean, Washington, D.C."
Provenance
Lithograph appears to be after a portrait of Washington completed by Joseph Wright (1756-1793), c.1790. The original is now held at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Possibly printed by P. S. Duval & Son, Philadelphia.
