Wood plug nailed into large end. Metal loop for thong nailed into wood plug. Initials "SB" carved into wood plug. Small end flared to accommodate other end of string or thong. "For Revolutionary War" written on body of horn in ink. Light green paper sticker, lettering ripped off, is on horn also
