Description
Painted tin (or toleware) box. Rectangular box with hinged lid. Lid has a curved top and small metal loop at center; attached to front of lid is a hinged latch. Box is painted black with a second layer of painted decoration. Lid has floral and geometric designs in yellow. Base has geometric designs in yellow on sides, and floral designs on front in red, green, and yellow.
Provenance
At time of donation, the box contained business and personal documents from the Clock family papers (see archives, 2020-29-0).
