Description
Small silver or silver plated baby cup, inscribed on one side "VIRGINIA." Rounded middle with flared top and slightly flared bottom; thin beaded rim. Ear-shaped handle with simplified scroll decoration. Engraved on opposite side with narrow laurel wreath. Stamped on bottom, "FORBES/S. P. CO." around motif of a bird; "539" stamped underneath.
Provenance
Cup belonged to Virginia Grace Erickson, descendant of Lavina Ensign Woodruff Westover. Likely made as a baby cup or to celebrate a first holiday.
