Description
Sheet metal trade sign for Luzi and Evangelisti Building Materials. Sign depicts a builder's house circa 1920 with "Eyebrow" dormer in slope of roof, 3 over 1 sash, glassed-in porch at side and multicolor brick in chimney at gable end. House is in black silhouette with roof line, chimney details and "Eyebrow" delineated in background color. The house appears to be on a neighborhood street as there are other houses to left and right of central motif together with tall spruce trees also in silhouette. The orange rays of an improbable sun emanate from behind the center house and the color serves to illuminate the windows of all the buildings, giving them the appearance of being on fire. The orange also forms a narrow border around the street scape at bottom and black block lettering above.
