Description
Marking sampler executed in brown thread on cream colored linen. Sampler contains five rows of marking. The first three are all of the letters of the alphabet in capital case. The last two rows read "Anne Beers 12 Years/ of Age 1797 S5."
Comment
The Anne Beers who made this sampler may have been Anne Beers, daughter of Abijah and Sarah Beers. She was born in New Milford, CT in April of 1784.
