Description
Early 20th-century tinplate locomotive tender, likely made by Märklin. Black tender with red and yellow detailing and four black wheels. Tender has three-sided container with with textured metal inside (to represent coal), a short platform extending from the front to connect to a locomotive, a narrow box on the back with a hinged lid, two buffers, and a coupling system for attaching boxcars. No markings on bottom, but was donated attached to 2016-52-4.
Provenance
Used and displayed in Sheldon Tavern. Donor believes they were played with in the attic, and belonged to Robert Lewis Fisher (1898-1977).
