Black heavy silk (or prunella) shoes with lacing at sides; seam up center of shoe; inside lined with white cloth; brown leather sole with rounded toe and stacked leather heel painted black; on bottom of sole is stamped "Jeffers/French Shoes/467 Broadway/ New York" written in ink on inside of tongue of shoe "Miss Shaw"
