Description
Tilt top papier mache table; top is 12 sided with raised edge; large floral spray design on top of table painted in polychrome. Pigment is very transparent and almost appears as if decals had been used with overpainting. Gilt cartouches turn inward to center; center pedestal, turned, with three short scroll and saw legs near floor; legs end in reverse curve
Comment
In 1975 this table was loaned to the Historical Society by Mrs. Liggett. The loan converted to a gift in 1977. Mrs. Liggett purchased the table from Henry Swanson
