Description
A: Cross - Mother of pearl cross with elaborate pierced and carved design; mounted on black wooden cross; brass fixture at top for hanging; on front of wooden cross printed in white "Via Crucia, Via Lucis"; remnants of palm leaf glued to back of cross B: Medallion - mother of pearl with elaborate pierced and carved design - three crowns with a six pointed star; set onto a wooden plaque, painted black; brass fixture at top of plaque for hanging; printed on wood in white on back "Coelum patria Christus via" with a cross and "1909"
Comment
These pieces were purchased by the donor on a trip to Jerusalem in 1899 and blessed in the Chapel of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem
