Description
Small thin wooden fife. Brass cap on each end with incised line design. Mouth hole at one end and six finger holes at opposte end. "Catlin" impressed into wood underneath mouth hole.
Comment
This fife descended through the Gridley family of Harwinton, CT. The family had always called it a "Revolutionary War fife" but knew nothing more about it.
