Hair is in a folded paper on which is written "This paper is the one sent us by a kind friend from Algeciras -- I therefore retain it." In small envelope on which is written "Lieut. Benjamin Tallmadge's hair." Lt. Tallmadge was in the U.S. Navy and died near Gibraltar.
