Description
Pine desk, used by the students in the Litchfield Law School under Judge Gould. Trestle table form with horizontal stretcher. Plain top, 1/4 section flat with two raised lips, to hold quills and ink stands, the other 3/4 slanted. Top holds many carved initials of various law students, some with dates. This desk would have been used with a long bench, and probably held three students.
