White Navy mess jacket; double breasted; red collar; elaborate braid decoration on sleeves; eagle patches also on sleeves; short jacket stopping above waist; label "Brooks Uniform Co. 75 West 45th St. New York"

Worn by donor's husband, Col Eric Hatch. Worn by him duirng very formal occassions for 1st Litchfield Artillary Co. He was the only one to wear one like it. He designed the decorations on jacket himself.
