Description
Silhouette of woman playing the piano forte, a candelabra sits on top of the piano. The woman is dressed in an elaborate gown and her hair is curled and pulled up. Signed by artists in lower right hand corner. Original black wood frame. Small band of gold around glass. Hook drilled into top of frame with metal ring attached for hanging. Large label across back of picture - at top two crests, one with "Cranston" underneath it and one with "Fenner" underneath it. Written underneath seals "Cranston Fennder Studio, Litchfield, Conn., Famous for its beautiful sculpture in Bas-Relief Presents Alice Cranston Fenner's signed originals in Framed Silhouettes. This Connecticut artist draws subjects of human interest and her character studies are often inspired by people and animals about her.
