Navy blue wool dress uniform military coat; double breasted brass buttons - eagle with "C" in center of shield; short, stand up collar; no outside pockets; hook and loop for shoulder insignia; lining dark green silk vertical breast pocket left side; front and sides quilted; pockets and tails; inside belt at waist; four brass buttons in back; two at waist; three buttons on sleeves; label "Hatfield & Sons 239 Fifth Ave. New York"
