Description
A - Medium blue cotton Red Cross Motor Corps garrison cap. Matching blue acetate lining and silk grosgrain ribbon band. White glazed paper label at center back with printing, "6 3/4/LOT/PRICE." B - Metal pin in the shape of a cross. Bronze-colored metal base with enameled front; red cross with interior geometric pattern, with gold and white border. Straight pin and clasp on reverse. Also on reverse, "Margaret G. Bissell..." printed on paper with clear adhesive tape applied on top.
Provenance
Red Cross hat and pin issued to Margaret Bissell (Fuessenich) who served in the Litchfield Chapter during World War II and was certified into the Motor Corps in 1942.
