Beige felt hat; oval crown with sides slanting in and concave top; 3" wide brim turned up slightly on edge; red silk cords around base of crown with knot and covered tassels in front; gold pin in front with two cannons crossing with a "L" in center; purple silk lining and dark brown band interior; in gold on interior band "Jones Hatters El Paso Texas (with outline of state of TX and of a hat)" label also on top of lining
