Description
The body of the doll is made of black kid leather, the face is papier mache and the arms and legs are made of wood, carved, painted and tasted to body with red paper. The doll wears a white cotton turban, white cotton petticoat, red wool petticoat, a long grey and white striped dress with bustle under a long white cotton shawl and apron. The black adult doll holds a white baby. The white baby is made of porcelain with a painted face. It wears a long dress made of pieces of lace and sewn to the nurse's arm and apron.
