Description
Small sewing kit. Brown leather (suede) exterior with green linen lining. Edges accented with yellow cotton thread stitched border. Two metal snaps at front corners to close. Pierce of suede sewn in center and stitched to create pockets. Small pair metal scissors and single needle inside. Three cards in sewing case. "For excellence in Sewing/ The Mary Perkins Quincy Memorial/ in the/ Public Schools of Litchfield, Connecticut/ Prize Winner/ Mary Comporesi/ June 1924" printed in red and "Cora Towne Fund/ prize/ Mary Comporesi/ Grade 6" written in ink. "Mary Comporesi/ for/ perfect attendance" written in pen on back of calling card of Mrs. Harold Kirtland Switzer. Cards are now located in accession folder.
