Description
Wood book stand used during recording sessions at the Litchfield Studio of the Connecticut Volunteer Services for the Blind and Handicapped. Two rectangular wood boards, one with a thin piece of wood attached across the bottom to form a lip. Three of the four wood faces have been finished with a light wood stain. The boards are hinged together using l-brackets and wing nuts, so that the front board is at a slight angle. Rectangular piece of paper attached to front board with tape; handwritten in black ink, "Narrators. Please read at least one full page before you start recording. Then record one paragraph and listen, to be certain it matches the tone and volume of the last recording. Peggy."
