Description
Decorative show globe for use at apothecary shop or pharmacy. Blown glass vessel, amber glass, tapering at bottom and top. Swirled design in glass. Top tapers to a narrow opening, stopper missing. Set in iron and brass holder. At top, iron pediment with fluted sides and scroll decoration around rim, to which is attached a three-strand iron hanger, 12" chains, with iron hook at end. Underneath pediment is an iron collar with stylized egg and dart decoration with leaf motifs in center. Set into collar are three brass rods that curve around glass and fit into iron base with brass caps. Iron base has similar egg and dart design with curved finial tip.
