Description
Scythe with snath (handle) made of willow with maker's mark near blade. Pierced and nailed for six braces. Iron collar with nib (hand hold) of hickory. Blade made of iron - shows signs of once being painted red. It is attached to wedge and collar to the handle. Five fingers of hickory with one brace. Sned (back brace) made of ash. It is squared, with two braces at third and fifth finger.
