Description
Queen Anne style lowboy. Heavy cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Full-length drawer over three side-by-side drawers, the center with carved fan. Shaped apron with acorn drop finials. Moulded overhanding top. Engraved escutcheons (William & Mary style) with bail handles; central escutcheon on top drawer has keyhole. Rounded pull below carved fan. Walnut with white pine as secondary wood.

Made by Litchfield furniture maker John LaGattuta as a line-by-line copy of an existing Connecticut lowboy. The color, surface, finish, and look of the original piece were copied (including mild distressing).
