Description

Wood rocking chair with a dark finish and woven seat. Chair has outward curved arms and thin, round vertical back slats. Double stretchers between legs on front and sides. Single stretcher between legs at back.

Comment

This chair was used in the Sheldon Tavern in Litchfield, CT by the Fisher family. Family tradition reports that this was Mrs. Fisher's (Margaret Fisher) favorite chair.
