Oil on cardboard portrait of Mrs. Origen Storrs Seymour (Lucy Morris Woodruff)(1807-1894). Rectangular painting set within an ornate gilt rectangular frame with oval opening. A bust portrait of an older woman, facing left. Wavy gray hair with lace cap, brown eyes, wearing a black dress with white fichu and brown oval pin at throat. See 1918-06-1 for the portrait of Mr. Origin Storrs Seymour (1804-1881). Painted over a photo.

See 1918-06-1 for companion portrait of Mr. Seymour. Lucy Morris Woodruff (1807-1894) was born in Litchfield, the daughter of Candace Catlin and Morris Woodruff, a local merchant and politician. She attended the Litchfield Female Academy c. 1822. She married Origen Storrs Seymour in 1830, they had four children.
