Cream colored sash with red and green border on each side. Medal is in the shape of a five pointed star, gold with red enameling. The star is surrounded by a wreath in rubies and green enameling on gold. Imposed upon a background of silver set with numerous old mine diamonds and rose diamonds. Medal pinned to sash

Edith Perkin's Rockhill's husband, William W. Rockhill, was the United States Ambassador to Turkey from 1911-1913. She was given the Order of Chevkat by the Turkish government in recognition of her services in founding a hospital for Turkish soldiers.
