Description
Piece of sheet metal which has been folded over 1/2" all around the sign which has small screw holes on corners presumably for fastening to wall of building. Sign first painted white which has yellowed. Stenciled in black with a 3/8" border "Joseph Hack Jr." and "Permittee" all in block lettering. On reverse side, the words "Joseph Hack" are roughly rendered in pencil between ruled lines
Comment
Joseph Hack, Jr. was the permittee for Westleigh Inn from 1946 until his death. The sign came from the effects of the Litchfield Hotel Corporation in which Joseph Hack, Jr., Daniel Hack and Frank Eraclito were partners
