Description
Tripod attachment - round wooden base. Identical piece of round wood set on top of base with shaped circular piece in center. Hole in top. Four metal screws around outer edge of second piece of wood.

Used by Dr. William Deming when he assisted Mr. McNeil in laying out the Shepaug Railroad. Dr. Deming did other surveying work in Litchfield as well.
