Description
Early 20th-century tinplate railway bell tower, possibly made by Märklin. Cylindrical bell tower on rectangular base, with domed bell at the top. Extending from one side is a metal arm attached to a circular metal signal, painted green on one side and red one the other. A long metal lever extends from another side with a small rectangular extension running underneath it, along the base. A short metal arm extends from the bottom of the tower on the opposite side. The tower is painted green with horizontal yellow stripes near the top and bottom; the base in painted brown.
Provenance
Used and displayed in Sheldon Tavern. Donor believes they were played with in the attic, and belonged to Robert Lewis Fisher (1898-1977).
