Description
Yellow wool women's hunt vest. V-neck with center front opening, with five brass buttons and buttonholes. Buttons with embossed image of fox and letters "LCH." Two flap pockets. Back with attached belt with silver metal buckle. Fully lined with yellow twill cotton. Off-white silk woven label with dark brown lettering, "MILLER'S.123 EAST 24th ST., N.Y. 10."

Comment
The Litchfield County Hounds was a fox hunting club that held weekly hunts in Litchfield until 2002. The club also maintained a kennel for their hounds, held trail rides at White Memorial, ran hunter pace events, and organized a Hunt Ball. Worn under jacket by the whipper-in, who assisted the huntsman by keeping the pack together and rounding up missing hounds.
