Description
Pocket knife with antler handle and four interior blades or tools. There is a 1.125" metal decorative strip present on one side of the antler handle, marked with a number of vertical incisions or scratches, some in the shape of an "M." Three metal pins hold the antler decorations to the metal frame.
Provenance
Knife was donated with a handwritten note reading, "Knife owned by Morris Woodruff, who died May 17th 1840, and since by Mrs. C. Woodruff who died July 22 1871." Mrs. C. Woodruff refers to Candace Catlin, who married Morris Woodruff in November 1804.
