Description
Textile fragment of eyelet embroidery work. Linen fragment with upper half containing pattern of swags, balls, leaves, and circles, all outlined in thread. Ten sections of pattern outlined; the first and most of the second have been worked to completion.
Provenance
Fragment is from Goshen, Litchfield County, CT, and dates to the early nineteenth century. The maker is unknown, but is listed as a possible member of the Brooks family.
