Description

G.A.R. delegate's badge. Pin bar. Gilt background with "DELEGATES" in gold on blue enamel / "35th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT" in gold on white enamel G.A.R. in red, white and blue enamel / "SEPT. 9-14" in gold on green enamel. Pendant with gold seal of Ohio on white enamel background. Yellow ribbon holds large medal of temple with a soldier on left and a sailor on right with scenes of city through arches and eagle, crossed cannons and enameled flag hanging in portico. Crossed cannons and G.A.R. shield on bottom. Mark: SCHWAAB S. & S. CO. MILWAUKEE. Boxed with hinged top and manufacturers seal on outside top.
