Description
Souvenir miniature cowbell produced for Guida's Dairy, New Britain, Conn. Copper cowbell with narrow handle at top with round copper clapper. Engraved on front, "GUIDA'S CONN./ FRESH MILK/ RINGS THE BELL". Likely used as a promotional item tied to milk bottles.

Guida's was founded in 1886 in New Britain as the Seibert Dairy. Alexander Guida Jr., who ran a dairy business beginning in the 1930s, purchased the Seibert Dairy in 1947 and renamed the company. The bell could be from either Guida's original company or the post-Seibert dairy.
