Description
Queen Anne style side chair. Spanish style front feet. Front legs turned - oblong block, turning, block, and turning to flat block level with seat on front legs. Front stretcher turned with rings, grooves and center ring burning. Double turned side stretchers. Plain single back stretcher. Canted square profile back leg through seat stile with beaded edge with yoke top with four side reeds. Vase splat with tapered edge on back. Grooved and reeded bottom rail.

Made from the wood of the Marsh House which was built in 1759 and torn down in 1899 to make way for the Noyes Memorial Building. The design of the chair was copied from #9 in the 1969 Litchfield County Furniture Catalog
