Description
Watercolor poster. Dark green background. Along two edges are eight books. Words, "Tea-Cup Sale D.A.R." written in red along bottom. In center and right has two women walking along a brown path with green grass and trees in background. Hints of a building lay behind the woman on right, wearing a gray dress with white apron, shawl and hat, and carrying a white tray with a single teacup on it. The other woman, on left, is wearing a red dress with a black hat, scar, and muff on left hand. A single teacup on a saucer is on bottom right, below the women but above "D.A.R.". Poster is surrounded by white border and is framed under glass.

This poster was painted by Emily Noyes Vanderpoel to advertise a tea cup sale hosted by the Litchfield chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1901.
