She has brown hair which is pulled back and coiled at the back of her head; blue eyes. She wears a low V neck light black dress with with lace trim at the collar line.
Comment
Sarah Kinney was the daughter of Nisus Kinney, first cousin of Ammi Phillips. Sarah died at the age of 17 of consumption, one month after this portrait was painted.
