Description
White saucer with gold bands and a gold bordered band of a red leaf and scroll design around the edge. Gold star medallion in the center. Marked "8" on the bottom. Asian inspired design. This is the wedding tea set of Anna Pierce Brace, (Mrs. Charles Loring, married May 6, 1818). Wedgwood #714, "Bittersweet." It was inherited from Mrs. Pennypacher's mother, Mrs. Ruth Loring Whitman; and by her from Mary Hopkins Loring; and by her from Anna Pierce Brace Loring.
