Description
Hand fan with pierced ivory sticks and silk feathers. Each stick is comprised of a 3" lower section with molded circular designs surrounded by hexagonal shapes of pierced decoration. The sticks narrow at the bottom where they are joined by a mother of pearl button and metal handle with silk cord and tassel. Above the decorated section, the sticks form a narrow 3.5" strip to which are attached individual pieces of cream silk, decorated on the left with small silver floral sequins. Each sequin is sewn onto the silk, and the silk pieces are joined by cream thread. The first and last sticks have wider top sections with the same pierced design as the bottoms.
