Description
A wooden clarinet, made by Asa Hopkins, made in four section with ivory rings at each join and at the base of the clarinet. The mouthpiece is of a dark wood with rows of horizontal incised lines. There are seven holes and seven brass keys. The joints are wrapped in thread for traction, Stamped, "LITCHFIELD, CONN" at top below mouthpiece and "ASA HOPKINS/LITCHFIELD/CONN" at bottom above bell end.
