Description
Small clear glass rectangular bottle with round neck and slightly wider collar. Rounded shoulders. One side has the words "Litchfield Pharmacy / North St. / Litchfield, Conn." and the symbol of scales inside two branches of laurel. When the bottle is standing, the words run perpendicular to the base, facing left. A maker's mark of a keystone shape with "M & Co" is on the base. All letters and symbols are raised. The words on the front of the bottle appear to have been colored at some point with black paint. Much of the paint has worn off, making the words harder to read.
