Description
Long rectangular wooden sign, painted black. In gilt lettering across length of sign "R.M. Woodruff" On either side of name is a figure of a mortar and pestle done in red stenciled drawing with black sand paint ground.
Comment
Reuben Morris Woodruff (1811-1849) was a druggist in Litchfield. He was the brother of George Catlin Woodruff who is the grandfather of the donor of the sign.
