Description
Three-piece G.A.R. reunion medal. Yellow metal bar pin at top with "COMRADE" label. Printed red silk ribbon: "53rd Annual / RE-UNION / 2nd.CONN. / HEAVY ARTILLERY / Waterbury, Conn. / SEPT. 11, 1918." Ribbon gathered into a button with a black and white photograph of a bearded man in a black suit and bow tie - the commander of the G.A.R. unit at the time of issue. Paper label at reverse of photo button.
